Early Video Games . . .

geometric ping pongThe first video game is most likely Nim, the one displayed at the 1940 World’s Fair.  A complex set of vacuum tubes basically allowed an interactive color display with the visitors.  It was quite a hit, despite the fact that the contestants rarely won!  During WWII another tube game was created to simulate missile launches, but it wasn’t until the 1950’s that video games really started to appear, using video signals on the newer televisions.

In honor of these predecessors, and the more well-known early Pong game from the 1970’s, I designed a little ping-pong geometric.
