Bathroom Remodel with Deco Twist

CaptureRecently the painters were working in my bathroom, a black and white tiled affair from the 1930’s.  As they were putting down the usual white base layer, I was debating about what color I wanted.  How does a girl add a little modern deco touch to black and white tiling?  The previous paint had been a smokey gray, which made me think about warmer-colored grays and taupes.  I felt that a large deco motif would not work against the gridded tile, but perhaps a wallpaper border might add that subtle deco touch, so I ran to the computer and worked out this little motif.  I like the way it mimics tile, yet adds curves and, best of all, it works very well with the black and white.
